Worms

Nifty wriggly worms

Worming their way through the substance of soil

Leaving behind holes of looser language

Semi-digested semantical notions

Newly jumbled, chumbled, mumbled

Conquered by the conqueror,

Doctored by the doctor

Blind and slimy, churning through the land of mind

To keep it from getting too dense,

too hard,

too concrete,

Searching without knowing for nothing in particular

Eating the earth of everybrain, nibbling neurons

Noiseless in a wriggly field of falsehood and fame,

Swing, batter, slugger, wormy worm,

neatly nourished without knowing.
